did you make it to the milky way?
I’m coming home, to breath again, to start again. I’m coming home, from all the places I have been with nothing but, a voice within.
Steve is in this so strange future world and he is alone. He is misplaced. He misses Peggy, the woman of his life. He misses her so much that when he falls aspleep after seeing her, old, he dreams about how his life should have been after the war, with Peggy. These dreams are all he ever wished when all he has now is sadness and emptiness. However, he understands he lives in the past. Why does he do that? He has a new family. So he decides to move on with The Avengers.

((I think everyone misses the fact that Peggy is running towards the grenade as well, Steve just gets there first. That’s why I love Peggy, that’s why Steve loves Peggy. They’re both unselfish and brave, and that’s what makes them great and great for each other.))
… I MISSED THAT TOO
unravellingmymind asked steve rogers or tony stark.
“You deserve more than this.”
“If it could work only once, he’d be proud it was you.”
